AfroFlux was truly proud to present our first collaboration with The Mockingbird Cinema and Kitchen, one of the nations few truly independent cinema’s to bring you a weekend full of celebration of the Wakandan warrior king.
On Friday 16 March 2018 we presented a showing of Marvel’s The Black Panther to a full house. Prior to the film screening there was an array of artistry from digital and sketch artists to hand-crafted perfumes and jewellery. All of this was topped off by an African martial arts display by Jake Nwogu and the sounds of DJ Latifah Stone blasting a selection of Afro themed tunes. Those who stuck around till the end were treated to a quiz with a few old school prizes.
A big shout to all who passed through and all of the artistic talents including Ginger Dan Illustration, Humaimart, Jannah, Lottie Illustrations, Sqbzz Clothing, Afrokiin, Jessica Small-Nguyen and Lexia Tomlinson
It was a truly great night that we are aiming to do again with the right films and the right people. Drop us a line if you can think of a few titles you’d want shown on the big screen.
