Saturday the 25th of July 2026 sees the return of the Fluxcon
What is Fluxcon you ask? Well it’s our yearly celebration of all things culturally creative
We often base the con around the ties between comic culture and Hip Hop, so this usually includes gaming, DJs, anime, cosplay, dance, capoeira, zines, panels, street art and all types of workshops relating to these different worlds
This year provided us the problem of having no funding at all. After a short time to lick our wounds we took all the queries about Fluxcon from regulars as a reason to carry on fluxing. This had us looking at Liberation as a theme for this iteration. This liberation is of Mind, Body and Sol
A big thanks goes to Nightlife Outreach for having us again this year. They are one of only a handful of venues in Birmingham city centre who cater to Black and brown communities as well as the mental well being of all individuals
We have the amazing Fluxcon market which will be open from 12 midday and will have traders and creators showcasing their wares from beads and plushies to tshirts and illustrations. This will run throughout the event and close up at 5.30pm
and then we have our workshops:
