AfroFlux thought bubbles are still enjoying the celebrations of 2018 and making plans for 2019 plus.
While doing this we thought to make public how much we have enjoyed our different experiences and connections this year and in doing so we also give a reflective blueprint of how much more we are working towards as projects of future.
From our first sessions of the year with the Black Panther screening, B-Side Hip Hop Festival, lectures and workshops, working with Afrofutures UK and Charlotte Bailey of Laydeez Do Comics, helping to bring the Black Speculative Arts Movement to the UK for the double premiere of it being their first time here and also the first showing of director, David Kirkman’s Static short film, we have managed a lot this year.
These thoughts came as we sketched, politiked and drank our way to January the 1st 2019 at the Wavy Lines drawing session. Each line is a stitch in time and a chance to create a whole new picture.
