AfroFlux graphic anthology – Call for creators

January 31, 2019 @ 8:00 am - March 31, 2019 @ 7:00 pm

Got a few characters or ideas you’d like to see in print?

A couple of panels you’re especially proud of or maybe a new take on sequential art itself?

Flux-Con is the small comic-con we’ve put together over the last few years as a part of AfroFlux at the B-Side Hip Hop Festival

This is a call out from us here at AfroFlux and the good people of Afrofutures UK to see if we can get an anthology filled with your wonderful art and stories.

We’re looking for what YOU would like to see in a zine, comic or graphic novel.

Flux-Con is the small comic-con we’ve put together as a part of AfroFlux at the B-Side Hip Hop Festival. Over the last few years there have been competitions, cosplayers, demos, traders, panels and most importantly for this call out is the lahvly zines and comics.

And now comes the Flux-Con anthology.

Contributions to the Fluxcon can take any form or style from illustrated poem to pen & ink, digital or paints.

Our only ask is for works to be limited to a few pages and to be in black and white / shades of grey.

The request for contributions is from now (January) and will come to close at the end of March once we have decided on inclusions and format.

The anthology with everybody’s amazing work featured will then be available from the next Flux-Con on the weekend of May 11th & 12th 2019.

Feel free to use the email here on this site or contact us through the facebook page here

Excited to see what you come up with.

And as Stan would say – Excelsior!
