With so much going on in the over the course of the festival you might just want to take a break and be entertained by great music, educated by world sounds and moved by universal vibrations. Welcome to the afterparty!

9pm Steph Be – Dj

Soulful grooves and warm energy as Steph heads over from the KRE8 battles to her first AfroFlux.


9.50pm S Maverick

A rarity in his actions matching his lyrics. Totally in control of his art and work rate, S Maverick’ has the whole thing locked down. From grassroots work to music production it’s Pure vibes and solid words from this forward thinking MC.


10.10pm Latifah Stone – DJ

Back again to bring the best in Black music vibes: from Hip Hop to Afro-House and Dancehall. Latifah always brings the heat on the upbeat.

11pm Yugen Blakrok

This South African Astro-Goth MC might have gotten a big push from her appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther soundtrack but her long-term supporters will also be waiting to hear tunes from the current Anima Mysterium LP and see her in the flesh for her premiere Birmingham performance.

Yugen’s videos are known to be as stunning as her wordplay is dense. Do yourself a favour and check them out before witnessing how she and Kanif The Jhat Master truly get down in person.

Mother Nature will be visiting us in the form of @stahhr for the Afroflux After Party at B-Side
A past master of ciphers, MC battles and releases since 1998, this Atlanta based artist has worked and performed with Smif N Wesson, John Robinson, DOOM, Tiye Phoenix, Del The Funky Homosapien and Homeboy Sandman, which goes far to speak on the levels she is regarded.

Come through to Mama-Roux’s in Digbeth and witness this consummate performer in full flow.

Her first time here in the UK its bound to be special. It might be the best chance you’ll get to see a shooting staHHr this close.

Dj Nucleo

Turntablist, award winning mix DJ and funky technician. Nucleo is always ready to inject a little Portuguese love into the proceedings with a whole lot of skill.
